Medical Admission Counselling

What is medical admission Counselling?

Medical admission counselling involves registration, choice filling and seat allotment based on NEET All India Rank, domicile and student category. However, many students struggle to understand how these variables affect the seat allotment process, which can result in missed opportunities to get into the best medical colleges.

Why medical admission Counselling?

Medical admission in India involves two stages: NEE coaching and Counselling based on NEET All India Rank. While most students focus on NEET coaching, they often neglect the importance of optimizing their Counseling outcome. As a result, many fail to secure admission to the best medical colleges.

Why you need Geetanjali to take admission:-MBBS in India

India is home to 29 states and union territories (UTS), and almost all of them have medical colleges or universities. Aspiring MBBS candidates usually write the NEET (ug) examination to fulfill their dream of becoming a doctor. However, sometimes, if their NEET score is low, they lose hope and go back to prepare again. Each state has its own separate counseling board called DME, such as MPDME in Madhya Pradesh, UPDGME in Uttar Pradesh, UGMAC in Bihar, MAHCET in Maharashtra, DMEHR in Haryana, and many more.

1. MCC (medical counseling committee):

MCC conducts counseling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS seats of states (participation of the union territory of J&K is subject to their contribution of seats), 100% MBBS/BDS seats of BHU, 100% MBBS seats of AIIMS across India, 100% JIPMER seats (Puducherry/Karaikal), 100% AMU, 85% of state quota seats of DU/I.P university (VMMC/ABVIMS/ESIC DENTAL), 100% faculty of dentistry (JAMIA MILIA ISLAMIA) along with 5% internal quota of JAMIA students, and 15% IP quota seats of ESIC.

This counseling process is complex because of the various quotas and relaxation offered by MCC, such as IP quota, NRI quota, central pool quota, ESIC scheme, etc. Candidates must be aware of all these quotas and terms before registering the application for counseling because sometimes, Once you register, you cannot edit your application form, and you may lose your chance to get a seat in MBBS. At Geetanjali, we always try to provide the latest updates in the medical admission field and offer the best possible solutions to our clients according to their Marks, Budget, and Preference. If you have any queries related to your medical career, feel free to call us on +91 9902958933.

2. State Counseling Committee (various State Counseling Committee):

Each state conducts counseling to fill seats in their respective medical colleges, i.e., 85% of the remaining seats are filled by state counseling only. However, all states have different parameters, such as scholarships, reservations (categories like UR/OBC/SC/ST/DQ/PWD), etc. Some states are open to all, which means candidates from pan India can participate in the first round of counseling of that respective state (at Private Medical College seats only). Some states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab are closed, which means they offer their seats for domicile candidates only in the first two rounds of counseling.

Here, we can play a vital role in securing your MBBS seat. We can provide you with details of colleges that match your marks, rank, category, and budget.
